The Wave Texture monogram strap-back is our very first accessory. Like all our products, it was meticulously crafted to foster an emotional connection through the attention to detail, blending form with function. After numerous iterations, it has been fully remodelled to embody the WT philosophy, serving as a strong introduction to our aesthetic. Crafted from 100% GOTS organic cotton and our signature gabardine, this hat sits somewhere between a dad hat and a flat-brimmed baseball cap. We chose a classic 5-panel shape with a curved brim for its semi-rigid construction and clean look.
The choice of gabardine for the visor was deliberate, as its iridescent quality reveals itself beautifully in sunlight.The front showcases a small 3D puff embroidery of our monogram, complemented by matching green eyelets. In the back, the undyed leather strap, featuring point sellier stitching and cire tranche edging made in France, elevates the piece into a true WT product. A key feature of this natural raw leather is its ability to develop a rich patina over time with outdoor adventures. The buckle, sourced from Maison Poursin—Paris’s last buckle maker—adds a historic touch, known for providing spurs to Napoleon’s horsemen and the French police equestrian units.The crown incorporates “Flex Fit” technology from New Era, using elastic tape for a superior fit. Inside, the protective panel is lined with cupro from our Italian provider, mirroring the aesthetic of our upcoming Pierre raincoat and the embroidery of the Roy veste. This strap-back is a testament to our commitment to research, technique, and detail, elevating even simple accessories in the pursuit of production excellence.
3D puff embroidery & iridescent gabardine
The Wave Texture Strapback combines subtle surface play with thoughtful detailing. The visor is cut from iridescent gabardine that catches the light outdoors, adding quiet depth to the silhouette. At the front, a small 3D puff embroidery of the WT monogram adds texture and presence — echoed by tone-on-tone green eyelets for a cohesive finish.
Craftsmanship in the details
At the back, an undyed leather strap — made in France and finished with point sellier stitching and cire tranche edging — elevates the strapback into a true Wave Texture piece. Over time, this raw leather will develop a rich patina, shaped by each wearer’s journey. The custom buckle is sourced from Maison Poursin, Paris’s last remaining buckle maker, historically known for outfitting Napoleon’s cavalry and the French police equestrian units.
Custom interior lining
Inside, the protective panel is lined with Italian cupro, echoing the Pierre Raincoat’s lining and the Roy Veste’s embroidery. Smooth and breathable, the satin-like finish is said to protect the scalp — a discreet nod to comfort beneath the surface.
