At Wave Texture, we believe in creating timeless, functional pieces that evolve gracefully with you. The Pierre raincoat, paired with the detachable Kaizen vest, epitomises this philosophy, offering versatility and style that withstands both time and the elements.
The Pierre raincoat reimagines traditional rainwear, addressing the need for adaptability across seasons. Inspired by Burberry’s classic tailoring and enhanced with sportswear practicality, this coat is designed to serve you through all conditions. Made from Japanese water-repellent Chambray gabardine, its iridescent finish ensures it shines on any occasion. Its silhouette features dropped shoulders, wide sleeves, and a sporty mid-length cut.
A waist cord provides a flattering hourglass shape, while leather adjustments, reminiscent of our signature Baseball Strap-Back, add a tactile, natural element. Deep front pockets include a thoughtful design—an internal access point so you can reach your pant pockets without unzipping the coat in a downpour.
Refined details such as the two-way metal zipper, prominent top button, Cobrax-free fastening, and additional chin strap for collar fastening contributes to the coat’s unique character. Grosgrain ribbons protect high-wear areas like cuffs, pocket slits, and zippers, enhancing durability.

Inside, the Italian-crafted cupro lining features a one-of-a-kind pattern inspired by our hand-embroidery design—a subtle nod to the Roy veste. What truly sets the Pierre raincoat apart is its 4-point fastening system, designed to seamlessly integrate with the [Kaizen vest] for versatile wearability. Inspired by Japanese military liners, when the temperature drops, the vest provides a modular extra layer of warmth, useful beyond the fall & spring season.
A tribute to the designer’s grandfather, this raincoat is crafted in one of Paris’s finest ateliers, reflecting the heritage, functionality, and elegance that define Wave Texture. Elevated rainwear defines the Pierre Raincoat—where tradition, innovation, and practicality meet in perfect harmony.

Water Repellent Iridescent Gabardine
Sourced from Japan, this chambray gabardine features a subtle iridescent finish and a water-repellent treatment, offering protection without sacrificing breathability. Its surface reacts to light and seasonal shifts, giving the coat a dynamic, technical character. Selected for its similarity to 90s Burberry fabrics, it was key to achieving the intended structure and feel of the Pierre Raincoat.

Cobrax & Gros Grains Ribbons
The Pierre Raincoat features Cobrax Zero fastenings from Italy — a minimal, low-profile closure paired with grosgrain ribbon to offer a secondary way to fasten the coat with subtle distinction. The grosgrain also reinforces high-friction zones around the zipper, pockets, and sleeves, while acting as a quiet signature of the garment. A two-way Excella zipper in polished silver completes the front, allowing for versatile styling and ease of movement — for example, unzipping the bottom while riding a bicycle or motorcycle.

Leather Accents
Committed to delivering the highest standard of craftsmanship, Wave Texture developed a custom raw leather stopper to replace standard plastic or metal options. Inspired by fine leather goods, it features point sellier stitching and bord cire tranche finishing. This detail not only refines the waistline cord adjustment, but also gains a unique patina over time — subtly evolving with each wear.

Stowable Chin-Strap
When secured, the chin strap allows the collar to close fully at the front, locking in warmth and wind protection. It can be stowed on the left side when not in use, preserving a clean line. When the collar is worn up, it reveals a geometric stitch pattern on the back — reinforcing structure while adding a discreet visual signature.

4-Point Fastening System
Designed to integrate seamlessly with the Kaizen Vest, the Pierre features a discreet 4-point connection system that allows both garments to be worn together or separately. This modular setup adapts easily to shifting weather — offering lightweight versatility in mid-season, and layered insulation as temperatures drop. The fastening points are quick to secure and easy to release, ensuring comfort whether worn or stored.

Through-Pockets
Here’s another look at the grosgrain ribbon insert leading to the ample side pockets — which, in line with a long tradition of rainwear utility, feature a through-pocket system. This construction allows the hand to bypass the pocket lining to access inner layers beneath the coat. Why? So you can reach a ringing phone, keys, or else, even when the garment is fully zipped and the chin strap secured in a downpour — no need to undo everything to access anything essential within seconds.

Gros Grain Inserts
As with the front zipper and pockets, the sleeve ends are finished with the same symphonic grosgrain ribbon used throughout the Pierre. Its subtle touch of red complements the coat’s iridescent sheen and creates a visual bridge to the Italian-made cupro Bemberg lining, custom-developed in green specifically for this piece.
